THE NORDOFF-ROBBINS Vision IS

Based on the belief that everyone possesses a sensitivity to music that can be utilized for personal growth and development.

The Nordoff-Robbins foundation supports the ongoing music therapy work at the Nordoff-Robbins center at New York University, in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York City.  The foundation also strives to develop and support a variety of music therapy initiatives both at and outside of the center.

The American Music Therapy Association describes music therapy as "the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program."

At the Nordoff-Robbins foundation, we believe in the positive impact music therapy can have for clients of all ages.

By supporting the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy, we are able to have a direct impact, contributing to the ongoing music therapy efforts at the center.  In financially supporting the center, we are able to ensure that all of our clients and their families can continue to receive the services they need, on a sliding-scale basis.
